Bir attracts adventure seekers from throughout country and the world. Hence some of the best time that you might spend here might be with your feet in the air. Bir Billing among other paragliding spots in India, is a village in Himachal Pradesh – famed worldwide – for hosting the first ever world cup of paragliding. It offers excellent, world class facility for paragliding in India and is one of the best gliding sites in the world. The heights along with the climate of Bir Billing are the most suitable for any air borne gliding sport.
The trip also takes you to Dharamshala and Mcleodganj, which are like modern day hamlets wedged in the Himalayas. Major centres of Buddhism and home to the Tibetans in exile, both these places are separated by a 30 minute walk.

Paragliding is a thrilling sport and gives adrenaline rush like nothing else. With a flying time of 25 – 30 minutes, you get enough time in the air to marvel at the breathtaking vistas of the Dhauladar Range below, feeling the rush throughout. Located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, Bir and Billing together, has become a hub for adventure travel and ecotourism. The place is also known for many monasteries and home to a Tibetan refugee centre.
On the other hand, snuggled in the Shivaliks, Dharamshala is a one of its kind destination. Vibrant monasteries, stunning backdrop, quaint cafes, and thrilling adventure activities have made it one of the favourite summer holiday destinations in India. There are a lot of super fun things to do in Dharamshala. From treks to strolls, hot beverages to delicious food, spiritual places to boat rides – the list goes on.
When you arrive at Kangra airport, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to Dharamshala. Upon reaching Dharamshala, you will check into your hotel.

After breakfast leave to Bhagsunag Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, Bhagsunag temple is located in the village of Bhagsunag in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The temple is famous for inscriptions on the walls and pillars of the temple and is fabled to have been visited by Shiva himself.
At about 1 km from the temple is a waterfall, accessible only by walking. Enjoy the serenity of the waterfall, listen to the melodies created by nature, with sips of tea which along with other small refreshments can be bought at tiny makeshift shops along the way to the waterfall.
The next stop would be Mcleodganj, in upper Dharamshala, home to the Tibetian Government in exile. This scenic hilltop has emerged as a major Buddhist hub, evident in its architecture and culture, it houses many monasteries, shops, galleries, and restaurants which encourage Tibetan art and food.
A must visit for anyone visiting Mcleodganj is the Namgyal Monastery. Home to the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama and the largest Tibetan temple outside Tibet. The Namgyal Monastery was first established by the 3rd Dalai Lama in 1575 in Tibet and was relocated to Dharamshala following the Tibetan uprising in 1959. The monastery currently houses around 200 Tibetan monks, who help preserve the monastery’s ancient rituals, artistic skills and traditions.
A visit to Dharmashala is incomplete without the visit to Dal Lake, named after the lake in Kashmir, its panoramic views and serenity are unparalleled. The lake offers boat rides and fishing can be arranged with permission from concerned authorities. It is also the starting point of a hiking trail and is a pass-through for many others.
A short distance from the Dal Lake is the Mc Leodganj bazaar, famous for its Tibetian art and culture. Shop for traditional rugs, local craft and art, as well as handmade paintings.
Head to the hotel for the night.

After breakfast today, we will go to see the Dharamshala Stadium. Spending some quality time here, we will leave for Bir Billing.
Upon reaching Bir we will check into our accommodation.

Today after breakfast we will embark on a trek to Billing from Bir (7km / 3-4 hours). On this trek you can cross Bir river, Ladgwal village, Valley of Stone and Hanumangarh view. You can also arrive at the camp place by car. When we reach Billing, we will have our lunch. After lunch we will trek to Gunda and then back to the camp. In the evening we will have a lovely bon fire and dinner.

Today after breakfast we will go for rock climbing and repelling. After being done with these activities we will have our lunch.
Being done with lunch we can go for a stroll to the main town downhill and visit the local monastery. We return to the camp just in time to catch the lovely sunset.

We get up early today to have mesmerizing glimpse of the sunrise. After breakfast you will be transferred to the paragliding starting point. The feeling of soaring like a bird above the magnificent mountains was something you can never forget. After paragliding for 20-30 minutes, you come down to earth once again. You would be landing at Bir.
After lunch we will return to the camp.
In the evening we will have a bonfire with lovely music and the stars in the night sky.

After breakfast today you will be transferred to the Kangra airport from where you can take your flight back home.
