The trip begins in the mists of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in search of mountain gorillas – one of the rarest animals on Earth and an icon of Uganda. The gorilla trekking is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and yet, Uganda has so much more to offer. This country is one of the few places in the world where it is possible to see chimpanzees alongside lion, elephant and buffalo.
After experiencing some of Uganda’s top wildlife locations by safari vehicle, by boat and on foot, this captivating itinerary ends with a thrilling stopover at the Equator.

3 Hours Before Flight Time
This 10-day wildlife tour is a sure way to discover the bush and wildlife experience in Uganda; all the action shall be in western Ugandan among thick forests and wide savannah grasslands filled with lots of wild animals. You will visit Murchison falls national park (Uganda’s largest wildlife reserve), got to Kibale national park (has the biggest number of primate species in Uganda) and Bwindi forest – home to half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas.
After your arrival, you will be picked from the airport and driven to the park. Lunch en route at Masindi on your way to the park. Go to the top of the falls for a remarkable sight and sound of the Nile crushing through the chasm. Come back to the hotel by dusk for check-in. Dinner and overnight stay follows.

Early morning, leave for the morning game drive around the park hoping to see the Uganda kob, giraffes, and leopards. Return back to the lodge for breakfast and rest. After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls expecting to see crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and numerous bird species like kingfishers, rare shoebills among others. Dinner and overnight stay follows.

Have breakfast in the morning and depart for Kibale Forest National Park. Lunch en route in Fort Portal and proceed in the view of the Rwenzori Mountains. A guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary shall be arranged to see various bird species, butterflies and primates. Dinner and overnight stay follows.

Enjoy your breakfast and head for chimpanzee tracking and other primates like the Red, Black and white colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys plus sight of some birds like the African pitas, Red-faced woodland warbler, Blue-headed sunbird and many more. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park after lunch. Go for an evening game drive around the park for a variety of wildlife species. Overnight stay follows.

Breakfast in the morning and visit the Maramagambo forest hoping to see different bird species, chimpanzee, other primates and the python caves. After lunch, head for a boat ride along the Kazinga channel expecting to see crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, Topis, birds like Corncrake, African skimmer, Marital eagle among others. Overnight stay follows.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi through Ishasha to view the tree-climbing Lions. Lunch at Ishasha Wilderness Camp will be arranged. Visit the Ishasha River for bushbucks, hippos, crocodile and the green vegetation. Dinner and overnight stay follows.

Run down a cup of tea and go the park headquarters to be briefed about the “dos and dont’s” when with the gorilla. After tracking, go back to the lodge for breakfast and rest. After lunch, visit the Buhoma community to see the Batwa people, their cultural performances, traditional healers and brewers. Dinner and overnight stay follows.

Post breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park through the gorgeous scenery of Kabale. Go for a boat cruise after lunch expecting to see Impalas, zebra, crocodiles, Eland among other savanna species. Dinner and overnight stay follows.

Have an early breakfast and leave for the morning game drive to see zebras, Buffaloes, Impalas, Topis, Warthogs and different bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Kampala. Lunch en route in Mbarara and a stopover at the equator for photography. Dinner and overnight stay follows.

After breakfast, head to Entebbe Uganda wildlife Education Centre for quick look at the variety of wildlife species and birds there and then transfer to the Airport to board the onward flight. Recollect your thrilling safari memories of Uganda on the way back.
