Kolkata – The cultural haven of India. This famous 350-year old metropolitan city always boasts about it’s buzzing streets, luscious ghats, lively nightlife, famous bazaars set on the banks of Hoogly and the much renowned Roshogollas or Rasgullas and Sondesh.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Kolkata

Arrive in city of Joy at the Kolkata International Airport. Take the Day free and Retire early after Cheking into your hotel. However if not too tired then in the Night fall into the rhythm of the City’s Vibrant Nightlife at College Street in Bowbazar.

Day 2Kolkata: Lyrical and Colonial

Kolkata (Formerly Calcutta) Presents you with the opportunity to taste the rich assorted sweets found nowhere in the world; starting from the soft and Luscious Roshogollas (Rasgullas- warm cottage cheese balls dipped in sugar syrup) to the famous Moas (Puffed rice balls and jaggery). Today you will embark on the culinary trail marked with tradition and Colonial History of the City. Start the tour at Shyambazar offering – tender Kid (Goat) Biryani (Kosha Mangsho Biryani), then drive for 30-40 minutes to reach Maidan- where you can explore the famous Eden Gardens and Victoria Memorial. Day 3Kolkata- Varanasi

Day 4Ganga River and Bhramin Cuisine of Varanasi

Today, head to the Ghats where the Holy Ganges flows through the Hindu Religious city of Varanasi. Go on a boat ride in the Sacred River and then visit some of the iconic temples of the City. Enjoy a full course vegetarian Bhramin (Hindu Priests) Plate and learn more about the Hindu religion and its Mythology.

Day 5Lucknow- Agra

Day 7Jaipur: Royal Rajasthan

Post breakfast; explore the Heritage Rich Rajasthani Flavors in Rajputna fashion in Jaipur- Pink City. The Major attractions include Hawa Mahal (Palace of Breeze), women’s quarter. Built by the Raja Sawai Pratap Singh, it is known for the beehive structure adorned with over 900 intricate latticework “Jharokhas” or windows. This monument sits at the edge of City Palace of Jaipur that sports the Maharaja Sawai Pratap Museum and serves as residence of the Royal Family.
Next up on today’s excursion is the Grand Jal Mahal or Water Palace. As the name suggests this centuries old castle is really floating amidst the Man Sagar Lake and was the brain child of Raja Jai Singh II. Day 9Delhi- Multicultural Capital

Delhi is a vast City and it is up to you to select the aspect you want to unravel- the medieval mughal Architectures and Meena Bazaar, Sophisticated Parliamentary Gardens or the resplendent Gardens and serene lotus Temple.
