Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Zürich, Switzerland

Arrive in Zurich, Switzerland. Make most of your free day by settling in your hotel and retiring early to fully embrace your Swiss vacation ahead. However, you are free to explore the Bahnhofstrasse an upscale boulevard lined with cafes and haute couture Boutiques.

Day 2Zürich

Zürich is the largest city in Switzerland. Located in north-central Switzerland at the north-western tip of Lake Zurich, this city was founded by the Romans, who, in 15 BC, called it Turicum.

Start your day with a trip with the tour of the Grossmünster- a Romanesque cathedral with the iconic twin towers. The major architectural attractions include: St. Peter Parish with the marvellous clock tower, Lindelöf Hill (site of Old Roman Fort).

You can even have a first view of the Alps by following the Uetilberg Hike that provides you with the panoramic view of the Lake with backdrop of the Alp Ranges. Do try the regionally celebrated Zürcher Geschnetzelte, a veal dish, sometimes also containing veal liver and mushrooms, served with a cream sauce and rösti.

Day 3Zurich-Bern-Geneva

Get up early to head towards Bern- the capital of Switzerland situated by the pristine Aare River (1hr 30 min away). Spend the afternoon in this city and try some of the authentic Swiss delicacies like the celebrated Berner Platte – a sumptuous dish containing a variety of meat and sausages such as beef, smoked pork and beef tongue, smoked belly of pork, smoked pork chops, pork shoulder, knuckle of pork.

Lose yourself in the alleys of the Old city of Bern and get awestruck by the early Clock tower built in early 13th Century. Then marvel at the Bundezplatz the Government Plaza a renowned U.N.E.S.C.O. heritage site.

In the evening, continue to drive and reach Geneva- brimming with vibrant nightlife situated by the Lake Leman. A site not to be missed is Jet d’eau – a signature fountain that shoots 140m high stream of water at the unsuspecting tourists.

Day 4Montreux- Queens Memorial

After breakfast, board the scenic train to Montreux (1hr 3min ride). Once here explore the legendary Chillon Castle, one of the best-preserved medieval castles that dates back to the 11th century. The beauty of the Chateau is immortalised in the English poet Lord Byron’s “The Prisoner of Chillon”.
Next, enjoy a wine-tasting session in the resort town, in which you may sample some of the region’s finest Swiss wines.The music fans would definitely like to explore the “Queen” studio Museum and Freddie Mercury statue paying homage to the 70s-80s band.

Day 5Zermatt- Skiing on the Alpines

Today, Board the rack rail to Zermatt, the famous resort town at the base of Mount Matterhorn, Switzerland’s icon. Spend the day skiing, sledging and the ride the snow mobiles down the slope. For the beginners, guided lessons are available so no one misses out on all white fun.

Day 6Zermatt-Brig-Luekerbad

Post breakfast, take a glacier train tour from Zermatt to Brig ( Train tour time around 1hours 20minues), which is known as “the slowest viewing Express in the world”.
Sitting in the comfortable train with a spectacular views of the lush forests, mountain and the valleys, believe it must be giving you deep memory for you trip.

In the afternoon, we will drive to Leukerbad Geothermal Springs Town (1h15m away). Leukerbad is located in the Alpen, it is the largest spa base in Switzerland, which has 22 open-air, indoor spring pools.

Day 7Leukerbad- the Alpine Onsens

After all the Skiing, hiking and clubbing spend your free day immersed in the rejuvenating spa waters of Leukerbad one of the largest spa and wellness resorts in Switzerland. You can also go to visit the nearby lakes of the Region.

Day 8Interlaken

Next up on your itinerary is another resort town- Interlaken situated in central Switzerland (2 hours’ drive away from Leukerbad). The quaint destination is adorned with the emerald waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and traditional timbre houses. It also features dense forests, lush alpine meadows and snow-capped peaks thus providing for various outdoor activities like hiking, boating and some more skiing!

Day 9Medieval Lucerne

Get a once in blue moon time- travelling opportunity in the Old Town of Lucerne (1 hour 10 min away from Interlake), known for the well-preserved Medieval era monuments and Buildings.
Start your day with the tour of the old town that features the Chapel Bridge and Zigzag Mill bridge spanning the azure waters of Reuss. Both ornamented with painted interior triangular frames;the former depicting Lucerne’s history by catholic painter Hans Heinrich Wägmann, (Of the original 158 paintings, only 30 were fully restored after the 1993 destructive fire) and later featuring death motifs by Kaspar Meglinger (these are largest known examples of Danse Macabre or dance of death cycles). None of Europe’s other wooden footbridges have this feature.
Another Major attraction of the city is the Monument of the Dying Lion- a sculpted beast on the White Wall that acts as a memorial to the brave Swiss Soldiers who died in the French Revolution.
If the weather permits you can even go on a hike to Mount Pilatus for a panoramic view of the gorgeous alpine landscape.

Day 10Depart from Zurich
