The soaring Alps and glaciers dominate the top Swiss places to visit – there are more than 200 peaks higher than 3000 m – alongside Switzerland’s rustic countryside, ancient castles, clear turquoise lakes and breathtaking mountain peaks in every direction. It has the most beautiful views of the Alps and some very impressive cities. This country is a heaven for anybody who might be looking for some truly picturesque and sweepingly dramatic landscapes. There is something about the way the mountain still glistens with snow even on the sunniest of the summer days.
