On this 12 day vacation discover the “vales and hills” of the Scottish terrain. Go hiking on the beautiful and Picturesque Glens of the National Scenic Area. Arrive in Glasgow, the biggest city of Scotland. Use the free day to settle in your hotel and rest well for your vacation ahead.

Next day go on exploring the city. Have a stroll in Glasgow Green, a former pasture ground that has been turned into a park. Get up close with Glasgow cathedral- built 1197 by King David I; this is the only church to survive Scottish reformation.

From Glasgow, drive for approximately half an hour to explore the hidden gem: Devil’s pulpit in the lush green Finnich Glen. This natural beauty gets its name due to red sandstone gorge that leaves a reddish glare in the river waters, hence giving off a Satanic glaze to the Scenario.
Spend the night in close by lodges in the small town of Drayman.

Drive again for 30-40 min to reach Trossach Forests. These beautiful forests have previously captured the imagination of famous Authors and even featured in James Bond Movies. The rich green park extends over 720 sq feet and contains the great Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond.
Go trekking to Ben A’an, to get a spectacular view of the lands from the top.

The National Scenic Area of Glencoe and Ben Nevis hosts the most breathtaking beauty of Scotland. It stretches over 400 sq feet.
The best way to start exploring this heavenly beauty is going through Daleness Visitor center. Get acquainted with the hikes and the history of Glen Coe and the National Scenic Area.
Go through the charming woodlands, to visit the Inchree falls: A hundred feet fall that drop into river Righ, with a circular walk that enables you to view the Falls with various angles. After lunch visit the Green covers of Lost Valley or Hidden Valley a moderately steep hike; the legend has it that this valley served as an escape route for MacDonald Clan during the Massacre of Glencoe. Enjoy the Warmth of Sunset overlooking the three sisters’ peak.
Spend the Night in Charming Glencoe village.

Early morning fill your schedule with activities like golf and fishing.
After lunch, drive north for 30-40 mins to Fort William. Here you can take a brief break from the Sightseeing, for a history lesson at Old Inverlochy castle.
However, do not forget to catch the spectacular sunset at Ben Nevis just 20-minute walk away from here. See the marvelous Glen Nevis from the top. Spend the night in the Fort William Town.

After breakfast, get fascinated by the 19th century Neptune Steps’ Eight lock system on the Caledonian Canal. The green patches on the banks of the canal are ideal for a picnic with the backdrop of lovely Ben Nevis.
After a nice lunch, embark on a 2-3 hour long drive to arrive at Camusdarach. Spend the last day of National Scenic Area basking in the sun. Enjoy the view of Cuilins while lying in the white beach of Camusdarach. Go rock pooling and swimming here. Visit major attractions include the steep cliff of Eigg and much more. Spend the night camping here.

Reach Isle of Skye by Mallaig-Armadale Ferry. Once you’re here stay at Portree the biggest town on the Isle, crowed numerous lodging places. The Island derives its name from the Norse word sky meaning clouds.
Go ahead and explore the famous Trotternish loop that starts from Portree with stops at Kilt rock and Mealt falls, brother’s point, Old man of Storr, etc. Each of this is uniquely enchanting and provides a marvelous view of the Scottish coastline. Trace your steps back to Portree for the night.

A half an hour drive away from Portree lay the famous fairy pool that brings the scenes from Peterpan come to life. Have a picnic here and then visit the Dunvegan castle and its gorgeous Scottish gardens before returning to the mainland.
Cross over through the Bridge of Skye and reach Kyle of Lochalsh where you will spend the night.

Next day visit the iconic Eilean Donan castle on an island offshore to Lochalsh. Then move on to your next destination Inverness (1-hour drive away). The beautiful cathedrals and museums of Inverness will be a feast for your eyes.
After lunch, drive further to reach Loch Ness; the mysterious lake that harbors Nessie the Loch Ness Monster. Enjoy a boat ride in the Loch as you Keep a lookout for Nessie the monster and check if the legends are true or not. Come back to Inverness for the night

Get up early to catch a scenic train ride from Inverness to Aviemore. The latter is situated amidst the lush green Cairngorms National Park. Spend the day hiking explore some of the lesser-known Lochs and watch the reindeer herds in their natural habitat.
In the evening aboard the train to Pitlocherry, where you will stay for the night.

After a filling breakfast explore the region around Pitlocherry. The Rannoch Moor and Loch are promising sites along with a picnic in the Faskally forests that were endearing to none other than Her- Majesty Queen Victoria.
In the Evening return back to Pitlocherry and gather your belongings as you part for Edinburgh- your stop for the night.

Divided into the medieval Old town and the Gregorian New town; Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh is a promising destination to indulge in some charming time-traveling experience. The best way is to hike over to Arthur’s Seat- an extinct volcano. It is rumored to be the site of Camelot the capital of King Arthur of Round table. Arthur’s seat will give you the opportunity to view the whole city and beyond.
