Colombo – Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Sri Lanka, an island nation in the Indian Ocean, is famous for its timeless ruins, endless tea plantations, spices, and of course to it’s rich and diverse cultures, influenced by the Portuguese, the British and the Dutch.

Home to endless stretches of beaches, tall shadowing mountains and dense rainforests; Sri Lanka is also diverse in terms of landscape and boasts a variety of flora and fauna.

Whether you are seeking tranquil beaches, a day of water sports or walk among the ruins of the ancient world, Sri Lanka has it all.

Over these five days, travel to the bustling city of Colombo to see it as a melting pot of cultures, its cityscape a juxtaposition of skyscrapers and colonial buildings.

Kandy is no less – the last capital of the old kingdom, the city itself is centred around a scenic lake. Acting as a gateway to the central highlands, it prompts you towards Nuwara Eliya – a city in the heart of the tea country, taking you back to the days of British Ceylon, with the addendum of traffic, and bustling markets.

Nuwara Eliya is probably the best way to wind down a Sri Lankan tour, allowing you to slow down and revel in the beauty of the surrounding hills and landscaped gardens.
