Harbin Ice and Snow Festival 2020 - Wed, 1 January - Fri, 28 February

Descending from the native Harbin traditional ice lantern festival held during the winters, the mesmerizing Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival dates a century back.

Over the years, tourists started assembling in Harbin to relish the aesthetic ice lanterns, and plentiful winter activities such as snow skiing, sledding, ice sailing, and winter swimming. Harbin Ice festival also holds numerous competitions that enable artists from around the globe to create magnificent snow sculptures during these years. 

The first grand ceremony of the festival was held at Zhaolin Park on Fifth January 1985, after a great appreciation from renowned Asian leaders during the early years, hence was announced as an annual two-month event.

Heilongjiang International Ski Festival was merged with the Harbin fête in 2001, therefore deriving its new formal name China Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival.

This 5-day tour offers an extensive set of activities and memorable adventures featuring ice and snow amusement park, ice bar & restaurant, snowmobiling, and Siberian tiger safaris, making it an ultimatum retreat for everyone!

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Harbin; Zhongyang Pedestrian Street

Arrive in Harbin, the city of ice followed, check-in to the hotel.

Take a stroll along the 1400 meters long Zhongyang Pedestrian Street, or the Central Avenue, one of the most famous and mesmerising commercial market for over a hundred years. The markets ranges from various commodities including perfume from France to cotton cloths from Japan; dry and fresh fruits are also available from their exotic locations.

Click some amazing snaps at the magnificent St. Sophia Cathedral, a former Russian Orthodox church. Spend the rest of your time at leisure.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2Sun Island; Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival

After breakfast, enjoy the amazing Sun Island Scenic Area, the second biggest venue of the Harbin fest. It also has a zoo housing Siberian Tigers and is recognized as the best recreational area in Harbin.

Sun Island is world renowned for the snow sculpture display and competition involving various other activities, all year long. Behold the most radiant Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, largest of its kind in the world. Gaze into the colorful lanterns hanging along with the bright sculptures and try the various activities around the fest.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3Siberia Tiger Park; Songhua River Ice and Snow Valley Festival

After breakfast, our morning drive takes us to the wilderness of Siberia Tiger Park, a zoological park located on a bank of the pristine Songhua River of Harbin.

Take a safari jeep ride along the beautiful paths of the park to experience the presence of Siberian tigers that are housed to breed and survive. Enjoy various ice and snow activities like ice bicycle, tire sliding, rock-climbing, ice karting, skating, dog-sledding, top spinning, curling stone, ice bumper cars, cosplay, snow football, and other such fun activities at the Songhua River Ice and Snow Happy Valley festival.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4Jile temple, Volga Manor

After breakfast, check-out of the hotel and get ready for an unforgettable trip to Jile temple, established in 1921, and the biggest modern Buddhist building complex in Heilongjiang, China.

Marvel at the awe-inspiring Volga Manor, a Russian influenced forest garden located some miles from St. Sophia Square in a small town called Chenggaoz.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
